Hårtwood is a boutique, design-led forest stay bordering a 500-acre protected nature reserve in the Haliburton Highlands. Bringing together the best of both worlds—immersive wilderness and refined design—three architectural treehouses anchor the experience, each crafted to blur the line between human and nature. Complementing the stays is The Hydda, our communal hub and curated general store with coffee, wine, and forest provisions—designed to connect you more deeply to place, people, and the wild beauty that surrounds you.

Where Fort Treehouse Co. first took root.
The Baltic is an off-grid treehouse stay for two, nestled among mature maples in the Haliburton Highlands. Balancing raw wilderness with quiet comfort, it offers floor-to-ceiling forest views, a private wood-fired hot tub, and minimalist interiors designed for slow mornings and starlit nights. Intimate yet refined, it’s a true treehouse escape—immersive, elevated, and deeply connected to place.
